Our first Dublin store celebrates its grand opening at 4482 Bridge Park Avenue
Dublin, Ohio — The soda wall is stocked, the candy shelves are full, and the door is open. Rocket Fizz Soda Pop & Candy Shop is celebrating its grand opening at Bridge Park, the first Rocket Fizz in Dublin and the second in central Ohio, joining our Short North store on North High Street.
You’ll find us at 4482 Bridge Park Avenue, across from SpringHill Suites, a short walk over the Dublin Link pedestrian bridge from Old Dublin. Come for the sodas, stay for the “wait, they still make these?” moment in the candy aisle.
What’s inside
- Hundreds of bottled sodas from around the world — classic favorites, small-batch craft sodas, and the novelty flavors we make ourselves (yes, bacon soda is here).
- Nostalgic and hard-to-find candy — the brands you remember from childhood and haven’t seen in decades.
- International sweets — including one of the largest selections of Japanese and Asian candy you’ll find anywhere.
- Retro toys, gag gifts, tin signs, and collectibles — the whole store has a tongue-in-cheek attitude, and it’s meant to be explored.
Every Rocket Fizz carries about 5,000 products, and every store is a little different, because owners tailor the mix to their town. This one was built for Dublin.
Meet the owner
The Bridge Park store is family-owned by Carrie Baker, a Dublin resident whose family became Rocket Fizz regulars on visits to relatives near our Cleveland store — and who didn’t realize the brand franchised until about two years ago. That discovery started the whole journey. Carrie chose to open her first store in the community where her kids are growing up, and she picked Bridge Park because, like so many local families, it’s already where they spend their time.
Carrie also leads a healthcare nonprofit, and she’ll tell you the leap from that world to candy and soda is less strange than it looks: she works on things she cares about, with people she cares about. This is her first franchise, her first retail business, and her first commercial buildout — and it’s exactly the kind of owner story Rocket Fizz is built on.
Why Bridge Park
Bridge Park’s developer, Crawford Hoying, called Rocket Fizz the kind of tenant they set out to bring to the district: playful, memorable, and a little unexpected. We’ll take it. Rocket Fizz joins neighbors like The Pearl, Pins Mechanical Co., Local Cantina, Fado Pub & Kitchen, and the Saturday Dublin Market — which makes us a natural stop before dinner, after the movie, or on the way back across the bridge.
