We recently discovered Rocket Fizz in Downtown Indianapolis. These shops originated in California, their site shows they also have shops in Arizona, Colorado, Nebraska, Nevada, Tennessee, Texas and now here in Indy.
We just went for the first time, and instantly loved this place. It’s almost overwhelming when you first walk in. Unfortunately I didn’t get pictures like I was hoping to do, mainly because the shop was packed. But the first thing I really took note of upon entering was the life sized Spiderman statue. Awesome.
One of the many things I love in Rocket Fizz was that they seem very “geek friendly”, aside from the Spiderman statue they had these really cool looking ‘tin’ pictures on the walls, for only $15, and most of them seemed to be Superheroes.
The candy and soda selection was pretty impressive. They had snacks from childhood that you probably didn’t know still existed, they of course also carry candy and soda you can find most places. But I love that they have all kinds of hard to find items; Bawls, candy & gum ‘cigarettes’, Oh Henry!, to name a few.
They have some great international candy and sodas that are worth checking out. I’m not sure of everything they had, but I did notice some Australian sodas, Cadbury chocolates, other candies from the UK, pocky, ramune soda, and various candy from Japan.
It was so hard to pick what kind of Specialty sodas to try, we settled on Pumpkin pie, Coffee, and Strawberries & Cream. Absolutely loved the pumpkin pie soda, figured I would, since I typically love anything with the word “pumpkin” in it.
We plan to go on another day, one that is not just after the Holidays (like this time), and hopefully earlier in the day. That way we can get some pictures, and give you a better idea of what they carry. Plus, you know you want to see Spiderman.
